My Scientific Question: What do we react faster to? Hearing or Seeing?
What I did: We went to the website, www.cognitivefun.net, then we clicked on “Attentional” then we found “Visual Reaction Time” and “Auditory Reaction Time”. We tested each reaction time and measure it by clicking and hitting the spacebar seperately on each time. Then, when we hit the spacebar or click the screen, we get our time in milliseconds on how we react to each reaction time. After that, when were finished, each reaction time, we get the average time each on hitting the spacebar or clicking the screen. Finally we compare each average time we had on hitting the spacebar and clicking the screen in each reaction time.
What I found:After all that, I found out I have a better reaction on hitting the spacebar than clicking the screen and better at “Auditory Reaction Time” than “Visual Reaction Time”. My average time on hitting the spacebar in “Auditory Reaction Time” is 210.30 milliseconds and my average time on clicking the screen is 507.04 milliseconds. So, for me, I have a faster reaction on hearing than seeing.
