My Scientific Question: How do we know if Sally is a diabetic?
What I did: We became, phlebotomists are technicians resposible for drawing blood from patients. We used a needle and a syringe red and blue Kool Aid boxes on juice boxes to practice before we test out sally. We tested the different blood samples for glucose, to find out whether Sally was suffering from diabetes. We tested the blood glucose levels of different blood samples on a glucose meter. The normal sample contains about 134mg/deciliter glucose. A diabetic sample 229mg/deciliter and our patient sample had 203mg/deciliter slucose. Sally had a very high level of glucose in her blood.
What I found:We found out that Sally might be suffering from diabettes. How we ound that out was that a normal sample would have it in the low 100’s. A diabateic person would have about 229mg/deciliter glucose. Sally had 203mg/decilitre this means her blood sugar or glucose is high which is not good. It has to be normal. This shows that Sally hs diabetes, but its not too riskey.
